Wind Turbine
I feel it’s a great way to harness environmental assets and use them for profit and also as a means to fund the restoration of Winter Island. As a source of green energy, it will offset our reliance on traditional energy sources that are harmful to our environment.
Mayor/City Council
I believe the Mayor should have the right to address the Council. As elected representatives of our city, we should all be working cohesively for the greater benefit of Salem’s future. In silencing one’s input or opinions, we may overlook valid ideas or concerns that we may not have considered.
Salem Harbor Station
If developed properly, the land has the potential for many different uses that can be beneficial to our economy and aesthetically complimenting to our future waterfront. However, in the meantime, we need to be vigilant that treatment is thorough in order to properly facilitate this great undertaking.
Additional Goal
The greatest challenge for the city council in 2012 is the same as when I moved to Ward One 15 years ago: “The Point”. We owe it to all of Salem to address the situation and give this neighborhood the support it needs to restore the reputation it once had.
